Much buzz has been created about the viral Cola-Cola video's OFW Project. It's all over Facebook and most, if not all, who shared the video have been touched and someone even commented that it was a "tearjerker."
I never expected to be moved by this video because I honestly thought that this is just one of Coca-Cola's gimmicks. The soda company is known for their lavish Christmas advertisements. However, gimmick or not, I think that this video has captured one of the realities of a Filipino's life.
You have probably seen this before, well, here it is again, courtesy of Coca-Cola's youtube channel:
Coca-Cola's theme is about Happiness. I personally think that the video is a little sad. But towards the end, I cracked up and just couldn't stop myself from crying specially that part when the man hugged his son whom he left while his child was still very young, and when he gave his wife a ring. I cried 'cause I felt that these people were given such a rare, random, and really great and unexpected opportunity at finally getting the perfect Christmas gift they've been longing for.
I hope that we will all have a happy Christmas. If we belong to the more fortunate ones, let's be instruments of happiness. Spread the love! In little ways, I believe that we can be bearers of happiness.
this ad is really awesome! it made me cry.. salute to all OFWs all around the world, and kudos to Coca Cola for bringing these families together.. Christmas is in the air!!!
