Sabroso Sunday Food Market

I got this photo at their official FB page
It was the second day of the Sabroso Sunday Food Market when I decided to visit the event at Yellow Hauz last April 22. It was already past 6 in the evening when I arrived at the area with my sisters in tow. I intended to go there for the Calamansi Muffins but they were already sold out. We didn't leave empty-handed, though, because there were still some blue velvet muffins and another variant that we bought which satisfied my sister's sweet tooth. These muffins were baked by Zhaun.

The Sabroso Sunday Food Market was not limited to food alone. I actually ended up buying four different kinds of herb seedlings: three of which are different types of basil (my current favorite herb of the season) and a japanese spearmint to replace the one I got last year which unfortunately died.

I did not expect to see Richie of "Some Ribs" to be there at the Sabroso Sunday Food Market. My sisters and I decided that we'll have our dinner courtesy of Some Ribs. We ordered each of what's in their menu: Baby Back Ribs, Chicken Fillet, and Fish Fillet. Each meal costs P90, with rice, and side dish.
Some Ribs surprised me with how tender and delicious the Baby Back Ribs were. The Chicken and Fish were both tender, too, and cooked to perfection! All three dishes were delicious! I'd have to give them two thumbs up for the delicious dinner at such reasonable prices! The side dish was not the kind that you would snob. I had a sparkling clean plate after dinner!
Since the Sabroso Sunday Food Market is a temporary place for entrepreneurs, they would naturally serve their food in disposable utensils. I'm just thankful that Some Ribs had some sturdy plastic spoons and forks that did not give up on the Baby Back Ribs. Although the meat was tender, you can just imagine the powerlessness of plastic against meat. I'm glad that our spoons and forks did not break and it survived all throughout our dinner. I'm sure that whoever provided them with their wholesale catering supplies would be a great recommendation for parties and events.

I did not see drinks on Some Ribs' Menu so my sisters ordered Milk Tea from Yellow Hauz. Their instant favorite that night was Wintermelon with Coffee Jelly. It's going to be another Sunday for the Sabroso Food Market in two days. I'll see if I can visit them again.
