Too Late for Magnum

A month ago, everybody was going crazy for Magnum. I told myself that I would never buy a 50-peso ice cream stick because I think that it's too expensive. In my own opinion, it is overpriced. But I did not say that I would not eat Magnum. Of course, when somebody gives you a 50-peso ice cream stick for free, who wouldn't be grateful for it?

So, I had my first taste of Magnum and oh my, now I know why this has a cult following. The Belgian Chocolate coating is a winner! I'd say that it is delicious and its taste could very well be reasonable for its price. For the ice cream though, I didn't notice anything extra special (well, that's from someone whose favorite is Haagen Dazs).

If you haven't tasted your first Magnum yet, I'd say don't scrimp on that 50 pesos. You can give it a try, even once. Will I purchase my very own Magnum? Well, maybe not anytime soon. But I will still give it a chance one of these days.

  2. Magnum used to be my favorite childhood Ice Cream when I was still in Germany. I almost forgot about it - until it found its way here to the Philippines. Tasty indeed. :)

  8. Honestly, I was frustrated when I tried Magnum. I saw the poster in 7 11 while having a night stroll and it made me drool. Next thing I know I was  munching on one. The price is not worth the experience. I'd rather go for Choco Almond Fudge...

    That's just me :)

  10. I just had the Almond yesterday. It's too pricey for it's small serving. I used to be addicted to it but after sometime nakakasawa na din. So yeah once in awhile I get my magnum fix but not like before na every day. =)

  12. I guess the fad has already died out as I've been seeing a lot of Magnums in 7-11. They say its pricey but its not bad if you just give it one time. ^_^
