Keepsakes is that very child-friendly restaurant in Matina Town Square (MTS), Davao City. Although MTS is known for bars, beer, barbecue and bands, there is something for your tots, too. But it's not really exclusive for children because moms, dads, ate and kuya can dine there as well. Seeing Keepsakes from a distance would give you an impression of a haven for children who make crafts, like scrapbooks and mementos. Yes, you can buy beads, strings, and little craft thingamajigs there, too!
Now let's talk about what's on Keepsakes' menu:
Keepsakes Oatmeal Muffin | P20.00 |
The oarmeal muffins, along with the wide array of muffin menu are great for desserts. This oatmeal muffin has just the right amount of sweetness to it complemented by the chocolate syrup on top. The texture is a little bit dry but but I can say that it's still delicious for a muffin.
Bruschetta | Garlic Tuna in Pesto Sauce with Cheese | P80 |
The Bruschetta has a generous serving. It's delicious and filling, with just the right amount of toppings to accommodate your bite. I was actually full after I finished 2 slices.
Buffalo Wings | P-- |
There are about 4 small-sized wings for this serving. I'd prefer this without rice. It tastes good but Wings and Dips tastes better. The sauce is yummy as well. Definitely a bargain for its price (I'm sure it costs less than P100).
Size comparison for Buffalo Wings |
Lasagna | P90 |
Their Lasagna is definitely one of the best in their menu. It's beefy, saucy, cheesy, has the right amount of sweetness and tartness, it's heaven in every bite. It comes with stick bread, too. This has got to be my favorite.
Crunchy Fish Fillet | P90 |
Also my favorite, the Crunchy Fish Fillet. I think they used malasugue (blue marlin) for the fish fillet. Most fish fillet dishes in the market today are made from Dory, which has become too common to patronize. This fish fillet is not rubbery and it has the most delicious (tartar?) sauce that I even used for the chicken.
Pork Teriyaki | P70 |
I haven't tasted the Pork Teriyaki but I didn't hear any complaints from my siblings so this must be good. We also ordered Barbecued Ribs for P120 and it was delicious! Too bad I wasn't able to take a snapshot of the ribs, my sister finished her plate before I could get the camera out. Extra rice costs P10.00 only! (--,)
nice food and interesting concept for kids creativity... interesting place in Matina, the last time I was there was 1997, more than a decade so many things have happened and establishments put up... thanks for the tip.
