Ilustrado Restaurant

Feel the vibe of heritage Filipino cuisine when you dine at Ilustrado Restaurant.

Ilustrado Restaurant is located at Intramuros, the old walled city of Manila. Ilustrado reminds me a lot of the photos found on my history books, it feels like I was taken back in time into large houses with capiz windows.

Ilustrado means educated or well-traveled, generally the kind of Filipino who comes from the elite class during the Spanish era. Ilustrado has established itself as a fine-dining restaurant and has been serving their clientele for 20 years.

Unfortunately, I was not able to take food shots during my first visit. So, I have a very good reason to come back, aside from Ilustrados' delectable Filipino menu.

Overall, Ilustrado Restaurant is a very good place to spend a romantic night or just chill with a group of friends. I would highly recommend this restaurant specially if you have friends who want to experience what it was like to be living during the Spanish time. Ilustrado Restaurant will only only fill your tummy, you will also have a chance to go on a trip down memory lane.
