Last November 2010, I attended the PICPA National Convention held at Iloilo City. After days of lecture and technical sessions, I thought that I needed a much-deserved break and that was when I decided to join a day tour at Guimaras Island courtesy of Bacuyani Travel Agency.
Upon arriving at Guimaras' Buenavista Wharf I instantaneously thought that we will be hopping from one resort to another because Guimaras has a lot of beaches and beautiful coastline. But I was wrong. The tour that we had was way better than what I expected.
Our first stop was Neptune Pittman's Garden
This place could have driven my mom crazy! Hahaha! Neptune Pittman's Garden is amazing! We spent a lot of time looking at the different flowers, plants and herbs planted around the vicinity. They served delicious and healthy snacks, too.
Tarragon tea for digestion:
I loved their furniture pieces. This one is made of a sewing machine:
You will find a lot of pre-cycled pieces in here.
This is such a relaxing place, so close with nature. One of their staff gave me an orientation about herbs. This actually opened my interest in having my own herb garden at home. Currently, I have tarragon, japanese mint, and stevia in my own herb garden.
If you're planning a trip to Guimaras, don't just frolic on the beach. Try to visit Neptune Pittman's Garden, too. I was really inspired to create my own garden after visiting this place, specially after experiencing eating some freshly-picked greens.
Wow I love the sewing machine that serves as a table ~!

ReplyDeleteYour mom is crazy about flowers. I wanna bet for my wife. If she has seen this Neptune Pittsman's garden, I'm sure she'll stick most of her time there and, you know what I mean, she'll buy the flowers, orchids of her best choice.
ReplyDeletereminds me of sonya's garden in tagaytay. the garden, the fresh greens, flowers and the tarragon tea....
ReplyDeleteThat's great we also visit botanical gardens when we travel. The place looks very comfortable and relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThe taste of the tarragon is not strong. I don't think it has a distinct taste but it smells really good. They said that tarragon is good for digestion. =)
